CNN reported today, that there is an ongoing movement to exhume what are believed to be the remains of yet some 200,000 more victims of the Nazi era. I can’t stop to wonder, the following as I read this. Are we that hell-bent on pain, that we continue to look for more reminders of the evil, of one man. Are we set on never allowing the Jewish people to finally get a break from the tears, and attempt to live a life of joy.

And then again, not just the Jewish people. But all of those who share in the pain, with friends, and family members that have become near, and dear to each of us. What purpose will it bring to try to remember, or even find out now that someone who we have laid to “rest in peace” in our minds. Now rest in dismay, at the hands of yet another mad man.

Should not, or better yet wouldn’t it simply be best to recognize that such a grave exist, and place the proper head stone in place. Hold that site with the respect it deserves, and allow those who had grieved before, to live in peace.

Shouldn’t this site be protected as burial sites across the world today? It time to close this chapter, it is time to let the tears, and the grieving come to an end.  It is time for a closer for this time.

(excerpts from the CNN article)

Austrian officials plan to exhume a mass grave near a psychiatric hospital that could contain victims of the Nazis’ so-called euthanasia program.

Experts told the Times that as many as 200,000 people – many of them physically or mentally disabled – are estimated to have been killed.

Scientists exhuming the bodies in Hall will try to determine the identity and cause of death for each victim, and the hospital is asking anyone who believes their relatives are among the victims to come forward.
