2 Peter 3:10, reads as follows:  But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.

This morning as I drove on an interstate, I was drawn to the site of the heavens above so wonderfully lite by the glow of the moon shining so brightly. This is the kind of stuff, that romantic fools just dream of, and song writers imagine as they put pen to paper.

But stop for a moment and wonder, if this that seems so beautiful in every possible thought. This moon light, stars and sky which we can stand in awe of, are to be destroyed. What can possibly replace that, what can top that?

For years I have been amazed by the writing of another Bible writer who wrote about a change, and things to be. He writes,

Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. Revelation 21:1

I guess the song by Mercy Me, takes things up right here. As well as writers who have dabbled into the idea and thought of this majestic wonder. A new heaven, more beautiful that the eye can imagine.

I can’t even imagine what is going on there, for majesty the Lord God is at work.

So look at the skies above you and ask, how much more beautiful that heaven will be soon.

A fascinating discussion is worth comment.
I think that you ought to write more about this issue, it may not
be a taboo matter but generally people don’t talk
about such topics. To the next! All the best!!
