Over my life time, I have delivered 13 children. And no I am not a doctor. For 15 years I worked as a EMT/Paramedic in NYC. Now some will tell you that 13 deliveries is rare, for any one person. I guess I just had the right timing.
The other day I was chatting with someone who used the phrase, “You be stuck with me”. I began to wonder about that phrase. Why was it that within 30 days I had heard two different people use the exact phrase to describe being with me.
I began to think, what would someone, or more specific a mother say, if after nine months of pregnancy, and hours in labor, as the picture above, the baby looks up at you and says: HA HA, now you’re stuck with me!
What do you do, what do you say?
I found myself realizing that so many people in this world have let the bad experiences in their lives over shadow the really fantastic qualities that some have. I remember asking both of the people I had the conversation with the following.
Why must I be STUCK with you? Why couldn’t I instead be BLESSED with having you in my life.
Maybe it’s time we all stopped and looked at ourselves, and our relationships. And rearranged them by the good, the better, and the GREAT. There are plenty of politicians out there to ruin everything else.
Let’s be Blessed, and overjoyed with the friends and people in our lives. And leave that being miserable to those who want to simply be stuck with themselves.
As the Taco Bell slogan goes: Live MAS!! Trust me when you look, you may find lots of blessings, that will make you smile, just like that newborn baby!
You are right for the fist time again.
