Use two hands,  Hit what you aim at. These used to be the phrases that people used to describe or answer the question, What is gun control?

the constitution gives us all the right to bear arms, and yet as time goes on, less and less americans are allowed to enforce their rights.

As an EMT/Paramedic in NYC I saw my fair share of shootings. With the media, now showing more and more shootings throughout the country, this has become a very hot topic. Can everyone carry, or even own a gun? Are guns really as safe as the NRA claims.

I have started to look at all of the reports of major shootings over the past few years, and months. I find the same thing in common. The shooters in most of the most violent shootings were people who would  not, have been allowed to own guns. I find it interesting that information like that is never included in most major reports. There are more guns sold under the table, than are sold legally. And even more interesting is the fact that out of every 10 legally sold guns, 9 of them are never fired at someone, or pointed at another. And even the 1 remaining only is only shot in justifiable times.

So how do we truly begin to define Gun Control. Is it by banning the sales of guns. And once again violate another one of the rights of Americans.  Is there a way that Americans can find peace, without looking for war. Can we see that as some have already said,  it wasn’t the gun that killed, but the person that shot the gun.

When we look at the minds of those who have shot so many others,  one could only wonder what is going on in their minds. But we must remember that if Americans work together, Gun Control is possible. And a Save America is not just a dream.
