Today I was reminded of how things look. As crazy as this world is at this present time the above saying might describe the political situation of our country. IT all seems that, the government is heading in one way, while the people are all asking to go the other.
Our personal lives are not that far removed from that point. WE think we understand and fail to communicate to the other party exactly what is on our mind, and heart. With all the fancy communication systems available, seems funny that the one that works the best, is the oldest around. Just simply talking. A conversation, a dialogue, just two people discussing the issue.
I was reminded of a group of scientist that were gathered to attempt to solve a problem, based on a picture. They had the picture hung on the wall so that everyone could see it from their seats. They measured, they compared lighting, and for nine days, the greatest minds in the world could not figure out the cause of this problem. On the tenth day a janitor walked in to the room, looked at the picture and mumbled as he walked out. He returned with a helper and took down the picture. The scientist all yelled that they were not done, nor were they giving up. The janitor simply turned looked at them and stated, I know, but if the picture is right side up, you may solve this easier.
Are we really going in different directions, with different goals. Maybe this time we stop to check the entire picture.
Thanks to that person who understood the picture was upside down.
