100 stabs, not 100 kisses?

AP News: Prosecutor: Kids slain in Illinois begged to live.

This is almost like a story out of a horror movie, and not reality.  The women in this story stabbed her son 100 times, and killed him.

Simply because she was mad at her husband.  Now this is bad for two reasons.

1. Truck drivers under these new horrid regulations work long hours in order to provide for their families. They or should I say we would love to be home more often and still make the money needed to keep everyone happy.

2. And this is the one that I really have a problem with. Where is the motherly love here. Where has motherly love gone too these days.

It seems that more and more we read stories like this one all over the country. I remember when I was studying to become a preacher, we  were taught a lot of different stories to help illustrate different points. This one stuck out in my head still today.

See if you feel the love in this:

A young man madly in love with a very rich girl, is told. That in order for her believe he loves her as he says, he must do one thing. He must bring her his mother’s heart on a platter. After much thinking, he finds the way, to carve out his mothers beating heart, place it on a platter and run down the street. In his haste he trips and falls on his face, and as he finds himself bleeding, in pain, and slightly embarrassed. He looks at the heart, and hears his mother’s voice from the heart, which simply says: “are you ok honey, I hope you’re not hurt”.

Mothers love has no boundaries, so where have these women learned to act in this manner.

Two kids die, begging for their lives to be spared, by someone they called mom.

Help Quickly??

Zija Oil

For just about a year now, I have been using a product named, ZIJA. Thanks to a friend who let me in on the information. I have spent time trying to get some other friends to try the product out and let them enjoy the possibly of getting on a true road to better health, as well as a road to a better income.

Nothings has seemed to sway any of my friends to give this a try. It’s real easy to come up with excuses, but once we die. It’s game over. So I hope that some of you who follow me, or just happen to read this might take note.

Zija is based on s plant called: Moringa Oliferia. Some know it as the “miracle tree”. Check out the video on YouTube. I’m not going to waste your time, when the video says it all better.  Any ways, Ken Brailsford, spent lots of money to have this plant developed into what I use every day of my life. I take NO energy drinks which can cause kidney disease down the road. Have stopped, or I should say I have kicked the addiction to caffeine. And as much as some place charge for a simple cup of coffee these days, I’m saving money as well as my health.

About a week ago I woke up with a terrible itch, on my arm. Could not for the life of me figure out where something bite me, or what I might have rubbed up against. The pain associated it with this was terrible.

This time I figured I would give another one of the Zija products a try. Check out these two pics:

After a shower,I applied the Zija Oil and found it cooling to the itch. The pain, mainly from scratching was gone in a little while. I was able to drive for 9.5 hours without any problems from the site again.

Over the next few days, I applied the Zija Oil twice a day, and on the fourth day, the bumps were gone, and so was all the itch.

You should look into the Zija line of products, they can help you with more than what most even begin to imagine. The Zija eye serum has saved me over $200 this year alone in medical supplies. Kids – Halloween

As I sat at home today I started to look at the events going on today. As I walked outside, the first thing I noticed was how clear the day was. The temp was perfect, for kids running around and knocking on doors.

I realized that God truly gives things to children. In the Bible Jesus Christ tells his disciples that they must become as Children. To live in harmony, peace.  Have you ever noticed that a depressed child, or an angry child always looks out-of-place. Yet a happy laughing child, draws everyone closer.

So forget the fear, that some bring out on this day. Promote the joy, the smiles, and the love of a child.

Then check this video out if you don’t think you can get into the right frame of mind for today!

My country tis of thee

 

I wonder just how many folks truly remember all the words to that song.  Or dare i even suggest that anyone would care to dabble into the meaning, or even the inspiration to such a work.

As I sat in my truck tonight I read about the vice-presidential debate. I glanced over and looked at what the news was still saying about the presidential debate from last week.

I guess I am still trying to figure out if America is still standing on we stood for. As I thought about that, I recalled my memory.  Here is an interesting thing to look at. How many of you out there remember the last time, a true man of God stood and prayed for a president?

It is almost funny to think that a small detail like that could have such a large effect. But I wont bore you with my ideas, and numbers. Look it up, google it? But then ask your self, this.

Is this, America still “MINE”  the land of the free, home of the brave,one nation under God! 

Today, I read where Mit Romney sat down and asked Billy Graham, simply to pray for him. The last presidents that had Billy Graham pray for them went on to do the job they were elected to.

To preserve the constitution to all extremes. The eagle is not dead, lady liberty still stands, and America, as far as I am concerned is still,

ONE NATION UNDER GOD, WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL!!

Political views

I guess in a sense one has to live a situation to ubnderstand it.
When I was in school for example our medical tech instructor explained in detail how a “traction splint” worked. He covered the how’s and the whys. But it wasn’t until I came across that first person who needed one that I understood what Mr C. Was talking about,

See, I am hearing folks talk about this current president and his administration. Folks saying how great a job he is doing. I still can’t see it!

Everyday out on the road I see a new law that he has signed into effect, worsen the job market, pricing on goods. Nothing seems to add up.

I get so stark raving mad, however when someone approaches me and says: “you have to support the brother”.
This is NOT a racial thing! The basic bottom line is that he is not fulfilling his job, or even his promises from the first election.

So now he just simply turns, to lieing about his opponent and making up stories.

Well folks, I am seeing the negative results of his work already. And by July of next year, when you go to the store you might be paying for it s well.

Lets take control of America!! Soon

Doggy Safe?

Have to admit that this is a really cute picture. Sort of just the kind of thing that could make us all smile. Or could it?  As I drive across this great country of ours I am amazed at how many folks actually drive with dogs, cats, or pets on their laps.

I am surprised that someone from the cruelty to animals folks hasn’t got on this yet.

First of all, with all the things going on around, the car, and in the car. Do we really need another such distraction? And then let’s maybe say that you are the best driver in the world.

Well if you are like any of the folks that I call friends, you love your pet. Your buddy, your partner in crime. Ole Faithful. Yea, you know the millions of names.

Let me ask you this, Is your pet,your buddy really safe there?  Most cars today are equipped with “Drivers Air Bags”.  I remember as a paramedic the horrible burns and bruises that folks had after an air bag went off. The expansion is so forceful that car manufacturers state a child safety seat should NOT be place in the front seat.

That having been said. I recall a friend calling me from an accident scene and telling me about a 2002 Toyota involved in an accident. He said he almost lost it, because he thought that the girl driving was dead. She was covered in blood as she sat in the front seat, after rear ending a truck. Turns out the blood was not hers, but her little dog  that now lay in the center console dead.

As it results, the force of the air bag snapped the little dogs neck killing him on the spot. Senseless, yet this could be so preventable.

I wonder just how many folks you know, drive down the road putting their dog’s life at risk.  If your pet is really part of your family, and you love them that much. Then for crying out loud protect them. They might just be the friend that saves your life one day.

Good bye little buddy, you died to early in your life, may he rest in Doggy heaven in peace!

Using Things?

LOVING PEOPLE????

Recently in my travels I stopped in Barstow, CA. For many years the truck stops there had built a reputation for housing the finest in female prostitutes around. The area has been cleaned up and changed over the past few years, to the point that there seems to be no one left anywhere, but those who work in the area.

This day would prove to be a different, yet interesting day as I drove in to the truck stop. It was about 5Pm local time than temp was about 98 degrees, and screaming hot.

I noticed a pair of ladies walking around the truck parking area. One was carrying a plastic bag, and the other simply a big friendly smile. As they spoke to the truck driver at the fuel island, I noticed that all he did was yell at them, as if they had done something wrong. But it just seem really mean.

When they got to my truck my first question was: What was that all about? They answered, we didn’t answer what he wanted to hear. So I asked what they were doing there, if they didn’t drive a truck.

Now everyone in life has some story. And we must at times listen to these, and make our own determinations as to what is really going on.

They told me that they would like to wash my windows, or wheels to get money for gas to get back home. At this I giggled a bit. They continued to tell me that they had been there most of the day, and were unable to raise any money.

I told them I would put gas in their car, if that is what they wanted so that they could get home. As we walked to the gas pumps we talked a bit about their day. It seems many folks would have given them cash, to use their bodies, in other forms. Yet no one would help them to really get home. They got the gas and left the parking lot heading for home.

As I walked back to my  truck, I remembered a song written by: Hal David& Archie Jordan. Sang by BJ Thomas. As the words came to mind, I could only wonder just how it is that we can still do the complete opposite of the words in the song.

Using things and loving people

So as you go on in your daily travels, and you see that person standing there, needed something that you can do. Simply ask yourself, is it so wrong to love?

Thanks MOM

Eight years ago today, I had a moment that stopped my way of looking at things. It was about 1am when I woke up and felt the presence of someone in my room. As I woke up I heard my mother’s voice saying: “Everything is going to be alright”.

I became pretty scared, as I rose to look around the room. At the moment I knew my mother was in a hospital room, unable to speak. I still remember the tone of her voice, and the warmth of her smile that morning.

As the phone rang, my heart chilled as I heard the voice on the other end telling me that she had passed away. Today is as hard of a day as no other.
But it is the good moments that fill my days, and her courage that drives me on forward with each day.

If you haven’t told your mom you love her today, stop reading this, and tell her. Share a moment, make a memory that will keep you strong for the rest of your life.

MOM, she set the bar for me. Thanks Mom, rest in peace, in God’s hands

Explain How

So here’s the question. How is it that a man who won his position in an office marked with questions of improper voting. Has made decisions that negatively effect our service men and women.

One, how is he trying to push something like this now?

And two, how is it that some think he is doing such a great job?

The truth is that under his administration, we have lost more jobs in this country than anyone else. His policies and ideals are putting middle class folks out of employment.

I recently drove on the Indiana Turnpike, only to find out that there are NO longer toll collectors employed. They have been replaced with machines because this administration claimed that us would be safer, and get this one. More economical!

I hate this subject, and typing this on a phone limits me a bit, which might be a good thing. But have we really looked at the health care plan? Some democrats have already turned their backs on having helped to pass that.

Remember this, garbage only flows down. If you increase taxes on the people creating, and giving us work. We get smaller pays, or fewer benefits. Personally, if you want to ride around in a luxury car, get a job. Simple!

But really, how can we think he is doing a good job??

The why, is always there

I have always heard that if you tell someone not to do something. It is almost an invitation for them to at least try.
Remember the don’t walk on the grass, or no swimming after dark. Those are a few from when I was growing up. I find it amusing that in this day and age, with so many folks on health kicks and others trying to give up smoking. And even still hotel’s that charge you extra if you smoke in a non smoking room.

I have to ask the question, why the ah tray, with a sign that says, no smoking. Why the open dare to someone simply to try and see if they can get away with it.

Just had to laugh a bit about this one.

Water alone? Zija is the way to GO

Today I read that now “too much water is no good for you”. We must stop and realize that we live in a world where money moves everything. So we must conclude that not everything is as healthy, or has our best interest at  heart. I continue to ask myself why is it that people in the Old Testament times lived to be 600 years old, and with all the medical advances today, some folks can’t even see 70.  Yet my grandfather died at 100 and took very few if any medications.

Zija offers us a method of returning our bodies to the most healthiest and normal state. If there really can be any such thing.Our bodies have the ability, or I should had the ability to take care of certain things inside, as long as very thing was working. So let’s try to get things inside us right first.

Why a text

I didn’t personally see this accident. However it is a grim reminder of just how deadly it could be to take one’s eyes off the road.
In this case, a great car totaled. One life lost. And yet at least one other destroyed.
Ask yourself, can that text message or status change wait, is it really that important. The person in the black shroud, doesn’t think so anymore.

What are YOU wearing

The say that style makes a person, and I am not totally sure that statement is completely true. However it seems that there are lots of folks who live their lives as such.

I have been puzzled by the idea of guys who now want to wear their pants hanging off of their waist, showing their underwear. And women who dress showing off the front of their underpants. And I wonder just what message is it that they are trying to convey.

Today I saw a group of young people from a Church, with the greatest looking yellow t-shirts. The front of the shirt stated, “Life is Wasted without Jesus”. Which is a great slogan. The back had a list of things to be ware off.

However, sadly enough, there was but one person in the group who had the shirt visible for all to read.

Made me wonder, why is it that when folks wear something that is truly a great message, we cover it. And when we have those that shouldn’t be seen. Well look at the picture below, and you will understand.

Remember if you wear something that makes you stand out. Someone will look. Are you ready to deal with the looks? Are those the looks that you want?

So I ask you again, “what are you wearing?”

Left Thinking

Ever stop to think  for a moment. Just stop in the middle of the day, and look at where you are in your life, your job, your relationships. For a single moment of time just look at them. Don’t try to analyze them, or fix them, adjust them. Just look at them.

later on come back to try to see where it is that they are supposed to be guiding you to. You may have just met the worst person in the world. Yet they came into your life to show you just how rich, in love and life you truly are.

I stopped the other day and did just so. After I met a new, and seemingly wonderful person. She was broke down on the side of the road, a bit crazed, scared. And yet found a way to bring a smile to me. As we talked for a while, the phrase that stuck with us both, was: “It could be worst”.

So now I look back and wonder, what next……………………………….

AMERICA

O beautiful for spacious skies,

For amber waves of grain,

For purple mountain majesties

Above the fruited plain!

America! America!

God shed his grace on thee

And crown thy good with brotherhood

From sea to shining sea!

WOW, those were truly inspired words. But I was caused to stop recently and look around and ask myself lots of strange questions.

1. Do kids today have any idea just how truly beautiful this country is?

2. Does anyone really remember why the pilgrims came here?

3. how many people know that God is still alive, and wanting to truly Bless America?

As I came off of this mountain side, I remember tears coming down face as I looked out the windshield, and I realized what the song writer must have been looking at as he wrote those words.

How far away from the concepts of the America that we sang about, are we now? Do your kids even know the words to song, or for that matter do you? I remember hearing to a championship sporting event in Philadelphia once. They took great honor in introducing the singer who would sing the National Anthem. Cool, a moment when we all get to stop and pay tribute to what America stands for.

As she began, to sing her voice echoed, with a sound that filled TV’s, radios, and the speakers in the stadium. But Oh the heartbreak, when she could remember the words, and muttered the lyrics. Brought tears to my eyes as I couldn’t watch anymore.

America! America!

God shed his grace on thee

Till nobler men keep once again

Thy whiter jubilee!

Take a look, as Moe Bandy said in his song, “Americana” America is still alive and strong!

So take a look, America. Are you still standing strong?

So have you seen the magical scenes here? Or do you go elsewhere to find more beauty than we have here? I challenge you. Take a good long look at what really made America Great. WE can get back there.

Craziness

I heard, this morning what has to be the wildest thing I could hear. Someone took the time to go around and ask some 1000 or so people about their sleeping habits.

The main question  that was asked was: Do you sleep naked?

I cant figure out why this or things such as this consume so much time in some folks lives. There are so many things that go on, in our lives with days in and days out. Why is it so important to know how some others sleep.

Are our lives so empty and meaningless that we need to live through someone elses adventures. I choose to live. In my case when life seems to be so done, and empty. When the moments that make you want to never wake. There is no one in the world whose life can make a difference.

Go live!, Go laugh!, and maybe even go dance, and enjoy the life you have.

Revelations, insights

What thou seest, write in a book and send it to the seven churches (Rev 1:11)

It is has been really interesting for me as I have spent the past few years studying the Bible, just how so many folks say that the book of Revelation is so difficult to understand. Yet this verse sort of sets the tone, for just the understanding the entire book.

You see the book is an interpretation of an interpretation. John is charged with writing in an earthly language what he is about to see with Spiritual eyes. This is a unique way to think about what we read. With every new translation, we seem to get further, and further away from the message.

Remember trying the game of passing a message around a circle, and seeing just how messed up it gets, by the time it comes back around. Well think about everyone trying to make it easier to understand, and getting further away from the original idea.

Even most interesting is the fact that this is the first book where God’s message is sent directly, by him to a servant. The letters to “the seven churches” is a dictation that John has no need to translate, he get and transcribes directly from God himself.  This makes those letters extremely important to our lives.

So as you now go back and read the book, remember the first part from chapter 1, verse 11 on, God is speaking words that are actually warnings of how Christians are reacting today. So before you further than that, ask yourself if you are guilty of the warnings that God left in his own words.

My???

I remember when you simply walked into McDonalds, or Burger King and simply ordered a big mac or whopper . Then things in our world got to be simple, and folks had more money, more time to kill. And simply became lazy. So the new and And bigger things started to come out. So welcome the new “SuperSize” everything.

Now we even have supersized kids. Children that can not even run in a playground. And I could only wonder, just how that is really helping us as a generation.

Well, long behold the new thing in this world. In the likes of a horribly BAD economy every store in the world now has and encourages you to get in their “my rewards” program. As Eddie Murphy said in one of his stand up routines, “what a bargain”, so now you simply buy less but more often.

Well, that might have helped us to become or return to being a healthier people, you think. But no now folks will sit in a drive thru line instead of walking the 50 steps to go inside.

So, next time you think about your next “my…” card ask yourself what is the real reward you will get if you use that card. Spending $2, to save that .25 is that really worth it.

HOLY WHAT?????

Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, a conviction of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

This is the Bible verse that for years has served as the basis for just about every belief known too man.The fact that a person can have faith in God, has been the substance that has made countries powerful, and simple folks stronger than life itself.

As we view the changing world around us, we can only notice how far away some folks have been drawn from the faith, which the Bible speaks of in the above verse.

As an EMT/Paramedic, I can recall many times when I said to someone just have a little faith, we’ll get you out of this. And for the most, sometimes that went a long way.

But the simple act of faith, in Church, The Bible and religion in general has been abandoned or even just shot right our of the church. Now I was never raised as a Catholic, however I have read the basis of the Catholic belief. And their bases is one of faith just as the New Testament verse above. I find it hard to believe that such a strong powerful tool as faith has been almost eliminated from the Church itself.

The following is a paragraph that I read in a paper while travelling in Kingman, AZ. I have to say I was pretty bummed afterwards.

Holy Water: A New York City firefighter has invented a unique device – a holy water dispenser that minimizes exposure to germs. Parishioners who dip their hands in the holy water can now do so from a cross-shaped container that dispenses blessed water from the base of the cross. J.H. came up with the design when a colleague told him that he was afraid to shake hands or touch the holy water at church because he was concerned about germs. J.H. said the dispenser is especially good for to protect the older people, who are the ones who attend Mass more frequently.

Really nice idea. However the fact remains that the friend in the above story still has NO faith in the power that the water is to have. The Lord said in his own words as he walked as Jesus and taught his word:

And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye would say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou rooted up, and be thou planted in the sea; and it would obey you. Luke 17:6

What has happened to our faith, the belief that God can truly bless us in a very special way. If we continue to pull away from God, one day we may find ourselves with out the blessings that we seek. I once said to a group going into a conference: Go in asking for a blessing, be prepared to seek the blessing, there by you will find a blessing.

I love the picture above because of the story behind that shot. That town simply wanted to put up a flag, that day. And wanted God to protect them. They got the answer that God would in the appearance of the cross, shining through the flag, as the cranes raised it to that point.

Is you faith tainted, in any way?

By the way, I omitted the name of the Firefighter who designed the device. I believe his intentions were good.
