Me, behave? Seriously? As a child I saw Tarzan almost naked, Cinderella arrived home after midnight, Pinocchio told lies, Aladdin was a thief, Batman drove over 200 miles an hour, Snow White lived in a house with 7 men, Popeye smoked a pipe and had tattoos, Pac Man ran around to digital music while eating pills that enhanced his performance, and Shaggy and Scooby were mystery solving hippies that always had the munchies. The fault is not mine! If you had this childhood and loved it.
Have we grown up in the wrong way?
Have we taken all the wrong things from those days, and the things we saw on television, and heard on the radio. Or maybe in our efforts to change, and make things better we just simply forgot to do as the song writer once wrote.
You have to Stop and smell the roses. When was the last time you put your cell phone down, stopped the car, turn off the Wii, and took a walk in the park.
Stop and laugh with some kid on the street. We could learn so much from some kids. Yes, their questions that always end in “why” can get a little nuts. But hey that is life.
And at the end of the day, when the contracts are all said and done. The paper work completed isn’t that all we really have.
